Kenya Residential Property Price Index: Technical and Methodology Note

Technical and methodology note for the Kenya Residential Property Price Index (base 2022=100). The index is compiled with the Rolling Window Time Dummy Hedonic method, which adjusts for dwelling type, location and number of bedrooms so that it reflects pure price change, using asking-price data from the 2023/24 Real Estate Survey, property listing websites and a quarterly survey of real estate agents, in accordance with the 2013 international Handbook on Residential Property Prices Indices.
