Basic Report on Well-being in Kenya: Based on the 2015/16 Kenya Integrated Household Budget Survey

The first report on poverty under Kenya's devolved governance framework, based on the 2015/16 KIHBS. It presents monetary poverty and inequality estimates at national, rural, urban and county level, including food, overall and hardcore poverty, child poverty measures based on expenditure analysis for the first time, and trends over the past decade, which show significant improvement in welfare and a decline in headcount poverty since 2005/06.
