Food Situation During COVID-19 Pandemic
Abstract
Report of the National Information Platform for Food Security and Nutrition (NIPFN) analysing food availability, market accessibility, price changes and food insecurity in Kenya during the COVID-19 pandemic, based on two waves of the KNBS household telephone survey (15,840 and 14,616 households interviewed) conducted in May and June 2020, with estimates at national and county level. Food insecurity is measured using the Food Insecurity Experience Scale (FIES). Most food commodities were available in the country, including in counties under movement restrictions.
