Kenya Consumer Price Indices and Inflation Rates October 2026
Abstract
Monthly statistical release of the Consumer Price Indices (CPI) and inflation rates for Kenya for October 2026. Annual consumer price inflation was 7.3 per cent in October 2026, driven mainly by higher prices in Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (10.2%), Transport (17.1%) and Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and other fuels (3.7%). The overall index rose from 156.47 in September 2026 to 157.60 in October 2026, a monthly inflation rate of 0.7 per cent. The release also presents national average retail prices of selected commodities and core and non-core inflation.
