The Kenya Poverty Report Based on the 2020 Kenya Continuous Household Survey

The 2020 Kenya Poverty Report describes the methodology for estimating official poverty and inequality levels and examines trends and the profile of the poor between 2015/16 and 2020, using the 2020 Kenya Continuous Household Survey (overall response rate 90.6 per cent; 50 reporting domains including all 47 counties). It assesses the welfare impacts of the two shocks of 2020, the locust invasion and the COVID-19 pandemic, for monitoring the SDGs, Agenda 2063 and Vision 2030.
