2024/25 Kenya Census of Agriculture: Pilot Survey Report
Abstract
Report of the pilot survey for the 2024/25 Kenya Census of Agriculture (KCA), conducted to test the census instruments, methodology and field procedures. The KCA aims to provide benchmark data on crops, livestock, fisheries and agroforestry, to monitor and evaluate the impact of policies and farmer support programmes and to track agricultural indicators in the Fourth Medium Term Plan (2023-2027); agriculture contributed about 21.8 per cent of GDP in 2023.
