Informal Cross Border Trade Survey 2025 Report

Report of the 2025 Informal Cross Border Trade (ICBT) Survey, conducted by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics with the Central Bank of Kenya, the Kenya Revenue Authority and the State Department for Trade at the main border stations. ICBT surveys, run since 2011, measure the magnitude and direction of unrecorded trade in goods between Kenya and its neighbours and the contribution of informal trade to total merchandise trade, improving the coverage of trade, balance of payments and national accounts statistics.
