Kenya Malaria Indicator Survey 2015
Abstract
The 2015 Kenya Malaria Indicator Survey (KMIS), the third after 2007 and 2010, was implemented by the National Malaria Control Programme of the Ministry of Health and KNBS from July to August 2015 to assess malaria control interventions. It reports on ownership and use of insecticide-treated nets, intermittent preventive treatment in pregnancy, diagnosis and treatment of fever in children, malaria and anaemia prevalence among children aged 6 months to 14 years by endemicity zone, and malaria knowledge; malaria prevalence fell from 11 per cent in 2010 to 8 per cent in 2015.
