2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census Analytical Report on Household and Family Dynamics, Volume XI
Abstract
Volume XI of the analytical reports of the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census, conducted on the night of 24/25 August 2019 under the theme 'Counting Our People for Sustainable Development and Devolution of Services'. It analyses household size and composition, household headship, family structure, orphanhood and living arrangements of children and older persons; Kenya had 12,004,581 conventional households with an average size of 3.8 persons, 38.2 per cent of them headed by women.
