Kenya Population and Housing Census Sources and Methods 2009

Abstract

Kenya National Bureau of Statistics initiated the rebasing and revisiting the National Accounts in 2010. This is the sixth major revision in the history of national accounts in the country. The main objective of the revision was to implement recommendations of the 2008 system of national accounts (2008 SNA) change base year from 2001 to 2009 and, incorporate sources of data that had become available since the last major revision. In addition the revision was to include the development and supply and use of tablets (SUT) as an integral part of the national account statistics.
