Kenya 1999 Population and Housing Census Analytical Report on Housing Conditions and Social Amenities, Volume X

Volume X of the analytical reports of the Kenya 1999 Population and Housing Census, prepared by the Central Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Finance and Planning (August 2002). It analyses housing conditions and social amenities in Kenya, including tenure, type of dwelling and construction materials, number of rooms, sources of drinking water, sanitation, lighting and cooking fuel, by province, district and rural/urban residence. The 1999 census, the fourth since independence, was conducted on the night of 24/25 August 1999 under the theme 'Counting Our People for Development'.
