| dc.description.abstract | The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics hereby releases the Producer Price Index (PPI) for the first quarter 2021. The first quarter year on year producer inflation was 4.92 per cent in March 2021 compared to 1.07 per cent in March 2020. The index rose from 101.07 in March 2020 to 106.04 in March 2021. The year on year Producer Price Index (PPI) and producer inflation from March 2018 to March 2021 are presented in Figure 1 and Table 1. Over the period, inflation was highest in March 2021 at 4.92 per cent. | |
